Recruiting, managing and motivating volunteers can be one of the biggest challenges community groups face. Yet when it’s done well, it’s also one of the most rewarding — because a strong volunteer team doesn’t just lighten the load, it multiplies your impact.
So how do you build that kind of team?
On Saturday March 14, we’re delighted to host Phil Hartwick from Predator Free Porirua to help us answer exactly that.
In a previous career, Phil worked as a business team, executive and leadership coach. Today, he leads a successful predator free project and works alongside community groups and agencies across Aotearoa. He brings practical experience, real-world lessons and a deep understanding of what makes volunteer teams thrive.
This is a genuine “don’t miss” session for group leaders and coordinators working with volunteers.
Phil will cover topics including:
- Finding and attracting the right people
- What makes a successful Predator Free group?
- The role and value of a coordinator team
- Processes that actually work — and why they matter
- Supporting and retaining volunteers
- And much more
